Shantytown:
Where history comes alive, exploring the heart of New Zealand. Shantytown is a complete historical township within the native rainforest. If you are travelling with children you must visit Shantytown as it will stick in their memories forever. Steam train rides and gold panning are popular activities here. History House:

Little Earth Model Village:
New Zealand's first model village. Situated at 'On Yer Bike' – click here for more information.


Jade Country:
The West Coast of the Southern Alps is the source of New Zealand’s Nephrite Jade. This has been used for centuries by the native Maori for ornamental carvings, jewellery, weapons and tools. Jade Country showcases high quality, individually designed and crafted jade sculptures and jewellery. You can take a walk through the history of jade and watch the master carvers at work in their studio.


Lake Brunner/Moana:
Moana is an idyllic lakeside village where you can relax with a view, enjoy a range of walks or get out on the lake to fish for trout. Below is a few of the attractions you will find at Moana.

Punakaiki, Pancake Rocks and Blowholes:
A world famous limestone rock formation of layered rock, Pancake Rocks resembles a huge stack of pancakes (hence the name). Punakaiki is 42kms north of Greymouth and Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park on the beautiful Coast Road and is within the Paparoa National Park.
